In the NFL, Tuesdays are frequently used to make roster adjustments.
Heading into Week 3, the Colts have allegedly removed cornerback Ameer Speed off the practice squad.
The Colts released CB Ameer Speed from the practice squad, per source.

After being released by New England, Speed joined the Colts for the 2023 season. He emerged as a key special teams contributor in the second half of the season, playing 153 snaps across five phases in the final eight games.
Speed spent the offseason and training camp with the Colts. He was released during roster cuts and then promptly re-signed to the practice squad.
He has not been upgraded for any regular-season games this season.
With Speed gone, a slot on the practice squad is now available. With both DeForest Buckner and Laiatu Latu out due to injuries, and the Colts having McTelvin Agim as the only defensive tackle on the practice squad and Genard Avery as the only defensive end, I believe an addition will be made at one of those positions, depending on whether Buckner or Latu are available this week.
Ian Rapoport reports that Buckner is a “long shot” to play against Chicago on Sunday, but Latu “should be fine.”
The Colts had four cornerbacks on their practice squad, so Speed was the odd man out.
