All good things must come to an end, and Francesco Acerbi’s professional football career is currently in its winter.

The 36-year-old has been enjoying his time at Inter Milan since joining in 2022, and InterLive reports that while he does not want to hear about retirement, the realities of ageing affect everyone.

As a result, Inter Milan is looking for a center defender, and they’ve turned their focus to Nottingham Forest.

Murillo is, of course, the individual in question. He joined the Premier League team from Corinthians a year ago and is under contract with Nottingham Forest until June 2028.
Since joining the team, he has not departed, and the 22-year-old is an important player for Nuno Espirito Santo.

InterLive describes him as ‘complete and effective’ and ‘destined for big things’. There’s a consensus that he’ll cost ‘far over €40 million’ next summer, but even that could be an underestimate.

Murillo should make his Brazil debut in the near future, which will only increase his value. Given the length of his contract, Nottingham Forest are in a very good position.

The only worry would be the defender having his head turned if Inter Milan do come calling.
