Gosder Cherilus, a former Detroit Lions first-round choice, has been detained for reportedly peeing on a fellow international aircraft passenger, according to CBS Boston.

Cherilus was aboard a flight from Boston to Dublin early Sunday morning, when Massachusetts State Police reacted to “an unruly passenger who urinated on another passenger on board.” The 6-foot-7 former offensive tackle from Boston College was reportedly told to depart the plane, but then “became irate and uncooperative” before being arrested for disorderly behavior and upsetting the flight crew. According to CBS, the jet had to return to Boston’s Logan Airport before continuing on to Ireland by another flight across the Atlantic.

“Delta Flight 154 from Boston to Dublin on August 17 returned to Boston Logan due to an unruly customer and was met by law enforcement,” Delta Air Line said in a statement to Boston 25 News. “Delta has a zero tolerance policy for illegal activities and will work with law enforcement to achieve that goal. We apologize for the delay in our clients’ travel.”

The retired lineman is likely to be arraigned in Boston on Monday, and this item will be updated if and when that happens.

Cherilus was the Lions’ No. 17 pick in 2008. His debut season, in which he started 13 games, was the notorious 0-16 record under head coach Rod Marinelli. The huge offensive tackle remained with the Lions until 2012, starting 71 games before spending two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He retired after the 2016 season with the Buccaneers. Cherilus appeared in 132 career games, including 116 starts, over nine seasons.
