Katie Dungate, a Birmingham City forward, has signed a loan deal with Nottingham Forest of the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division for the 2024/25 season.

The Blues confirmed the agreement via a statement on their official club website Friday night.

The 19-year-old attacker left Chelsea of the Barclays Women’s Super League last summer to join Birmingham City. Dungate made 11 appearances for the Midlands club in previous season’s Barclays Women’s Championship, only two of which were starts.

Dungate has a bright future ahead of her, but she requires more game time to realize her full potential. The loan move to Nottingham Forest provides the player with an ideal opportunity to improve, as The Tricky Trees prepare to compete for the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division crown this season.

After completing her loan move to Nottingham Forest, Dungate stated, “I’m excited to sign here; I believe coming on loan to Forest will help my development – I just want to gain as much experience and first-team minutes as possible.”

“The ambitions of the Club are great, they want to be in the Championship next season and I’m a player that wants to be a part of that side, so it was a good fit for me.”

Dungate could make her Nottingham Forest debut against Stoke City tomorrow afternoon.
