Daisy Burt, a Newcastle United Women defender, has joined Derby County Women on loan for the 2024/25 season.
The 18-year-old defender joined the Magpies before of the 2022/23 season, where she established herself as a regular after moving from local rivals Sunderland.
Despite being injured for much of last season, Burt made eight appearances for the club in all competitions before going on loan to Middlesbrough, joining the FA Women’s National League Division One North side in February.
Manager Becky Langley said on Burt’s loan move to the FA Women’s National League side: “Daisy is a young player and a great girl with a bright future.” Playing senior football for Derby County will further accelerate her development, and we believe it is a fantastic move for everyone concerned.”
