Despite being one of the busiest Premier League teams this summer, Nottingham Forest’s spending spree is far from over.

Evangelos Marinakis has undoubtedly supported his boss, with Nuno Espirito Santo welcoming six new players to the City Ground this summer.

And six could soon become seven, as Forest continue to try to complete deals ahead of their Premier League opening next weekend.

Following Thursday night’s 4-3 triumph over Olympiacos in Greece, summer preparations on the pitch are finally complete.

Despite being on the pitch, Forest’s request for Porto winger Galeno was refused during the friendly.

However, Forest’s focus in the next weeks will not be limited to Galeno.

Nottingham Forest eyeing move for in-demand defender

Forest has been active in the market, but they are still seeking for ways to improve ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

On Friday morning, it was rumored that Forest could return to Porto with an upgraded offer for Galeno.

Considering there was a lot to be concerned about following the 2023/24 season, Forest have done everything they can to soothe fans’ anxieties ahead of the next season.

And there could soon be even more reason for enthusiasm at the City Ground, as Forest show no signs of slowing down in the market.

According to Turkish newspaper Sabah, Forest is one of the clubs that has expressed genuine interest in Fenerbahce left-back Ferdi Kadioglu.

However, the Reds are not alone in their pursuit of the defender, as Brighton & Hove Albion and Southampton are also interested.

With the Turkish giants seeking to keep Kadioglu this summer, they have set a €35 million (£30 million) valuation on him to deter any interested parties.

Jose Mourinho’s side has already rejected a proposal worth around €25 million (£21 million).

Arsenal also showing interest in Forest target Ferdi Kadioglu

The clubs indicated above may not be the most prestigious in the Premier League, with Southampton anticipated to fight for survival.

However, to demonstrate how highly regarded the defender is, Arsenal has expressed an interest in potentially signing Kadioglu.

Following an outstanding performance in the Euros earlier this summer, Kadioglu is in high demand, with several Premier League clubs expressing interest.

As if Forest needed any more motivation to sign the’superstar’, the player is claimed to be eager to relocate to England.
