Derby County return to Championship action against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday afternoon.
The Rams are hoping to put some much-needed distance between themselves and the relegation zone.
Derby County will play Plymouth Argyle at Pride Park at 3 p.m., and they should be favourites.
Paul Warne has transformed his team’s stadium into a fortress this season, which is significant given their past terrible away record.
Derby are presently 13th in the Championship league and face Plymouth, although they are only three points clear of Wayne Rooney’s side, who are currently first in the relegation zone.
With Eiran Cashin suspended, Warne will have to make at least one change to his starting eleven on Saturday, but fans are confident that one Derby star will remain in the team.
Derby County fans send Liam Thompson message to Paul Warne
Derby secured their first away league win of 2024/25 against Coventry City on Wednesday evening.
Liam Thompson was given a rare start in the centre of the pitch and performed admirably against the Sky Blues.
Now, ahead of Plymouth, Derby fans have gone to X/Twitter to ask Warne to start the midfielder on Saturday.
One fan wrote: “Liam Thompson is a better footballer than Ben Osborn and Harness, and when fit, should always be in the starting lineup. Cheers.”
A second supporter replied, “I agree and love him. “So much energy,” while a third stated: “Had a great game last night and should get the shirt again Saturday.”
“He’s certainly better than Harness,” a fourth enthusiast remarked.

Thompson was superb against Coventry, but given it was his first league start of the season, his match fitness may still be missing.
As a result, he may not be fully prepared to start two games per week in the Championship.
However, with David Ozoh still sidelined, Warne does not have many choices in central midfield right now.
Marcus Harness was the sole midfielder on the bench in midweek, and he did not come on.
