This former Bruins forward has called it a career.

Steven Fogarty, a former Boston Bruins forward, declared on Instagram that he is officially retired from professional hockey.

Fogarty, 31, spent the 2021-22 season with the Bruins. He spent most of that season with the Providence Bruins, scoring 12 goals and 42 points in 62 games. He also appeared in two games with Boston, recording two shots and a minus-2 rating.

After a one-year run with the Bruins, Fogarty played the previous two seasons with the Minnesota Wild. He primarily played for their AHL affiliate, the Iowa Wild, with 37 goals and 86 points in 134 games over two seasons. He also appeared twice for Minnesota in 2022-23.

Fogarty played 31 games in five NHL seasons with the New York Rangers, Buffalo Sabres, Bruins, and Wild, scoring one goal and three points. He also had a long and successful career in the AHL, where he was captain of both the Hartford Wolf Pack and the Rochester Americans.
