ORLANDO PIRATES CONFIRM BOITUMELO RADIOPANE IS BACK

In 2019, the Sebokeng-born star rose to prominence with the DStv Diski Challenge. Following his success, he moved on loan from Orlando Pirates to Cape Town Spurs for two seasons. With the season beginning on Saturday, the Sea Robbers have confirmed that “Radioman” would wear jersey number 42.

ORLANDO PIRATES HUNGRY FOR DOMESTIC AND CONTINENTAL LEAGUE GLORY

Most athletes choose to hide ambitions of this magnitude, but Orlando Pirates’ Deon Hotto has no time for it. The Sea Robbers have larger ambitions than the MTN8 and the Nedbank Cup.

Speaking to the media following a successful pre-season camp in Spain, the 33-year-old Namibian full-back claimed that Orlando Pirates are eager to win the Betway Premiership and the CAF Champions League.

“Defending the MTN8 and Nedbank Cup is not a major concern for us. Our main focus is on the league and Champions League.” “We don’t have a big problem with the other two,” Hotto stated, as reported by iDiski Times.

“The buzz for us [in pre-season] has been about [pushing for] the league and the Champions League, so that’s what we want to aim for because we know how to win those other domestic cups.

EXPERIENCE

Furthermore, the Orlando Pirates jersey number seven believes that coach Jose Riveiro’s third season in Mzansi has provided him with the necessary experience to challenge the reigning Mamelodi Sundowns.

“Yeah most definitely [we’re strong enough to compete with Sundowns] it’s a project also for the coach, he’s now in his third season, trying to get the traditions of the team, formations also – you can see how he’s feeling comfortable, more at home also,” he told me.

“He knows what to do in the future season, and we as players are there to help him, as are the technical staff and other staff members. There is pressure everywhere, regardless of where you are or where you play.

“And we don’t just want to win the league for the coach; we want to win it for ourselves, the fans, and the Chairman as well. Pressure is always present, and the pressure we face this season is the pressure to be on top of the table from start to finish; it’s pressure from ourselves, not supporters or the Chairman, but as players, we want to be on top from start to finish,” the Orlando Pirates star concluded.
