Birmingham City and Fulham are in talks to sign two players.

Birmingham City have reportedly made an offer to sign Fulham midfielder Luke Harris on a season-long loan.

The Wales Under-21 international spent the second part of last season on loan at Exeter City, where he immediately established himself as a fan favourite, scoring four goals in 19 games.

According to Sky Sports, Birmingham has made an official offer to Fulham, giving Harris a step up to the top of League One after his success in lesser divisions with Exeter. To far, the 19-year-old has made seven senior appearances for Fulham, four of which have been in the Premier League.

Manager Chris Davies declined to rule out Stansfield’s return to Blues, but admits the trade will be difficult to execute. “There’s always a chance,” Davies said following an open training session at Birmingham City Elite Performance and Innovation Centre.

“He won every award last year, and when I looked at the team before I came in, he was the standout player. He’s returned to a very excellent Premier League team that clearly values him, and they have their own plans and ambitions.

“If he became available and we could accomplish it, it would be a tremendously thrilling experience for everyone. But everyone understands it will be difficult to do so,” Davies concluded.
