Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna has revealed that Nathan Broadhead may miss two months of action.
After injuring himself during a preseason friendly, the forward is expected to miss some time.
Broadhead sustained the injury during a game versus Reading at Playford Road prior to their training camp in Austria.
“Nathan has seen a specialist for a hamstring injury,” McKenna explained.
“There is no need for surgery, which is a significant advantage. That means the recovery could be shorter, but it will still take at least a couple of months.”
McKenna acknowledged that it was a significant blow: “Yes, for sure. He’s a key player for us.
“We are low on numbers for the season, so we don’t want to lose anyone. That’s disappointing both for him and for us.
