However, it has been announced that one of the summer targets may potentially be off the table, as he is expected to sign a new contract with his current club.
Nottingham Forest summer target set to sign new deal
So far, the Reds have had a successful summer transfer season, with several exciting recruits already through the door.
Perhaps most impressive is how quickly Forest was able to finalize these agreements so that they could all participate in the pre-season tour to Spain.
This has helped Elliot Anderson to bond with his new teammates, which has resulted in the midfielder impressing on the pitch.
However, an update from Fabrizio Romano suggests that the Reds will have to scrap one of their transfer targets.
Taking to X, Romano claims Aston Villa is ready to extend Lamare Bogarde’s contract after rejecting Forest’s proposal.

The athlete is still thought to be attracting a lot of interest, with clubs still hoping to sign him for the next season.
However, any deal for the 20-year-old will have to be done on loan, as Villa want to secure his long-term future.
Forest set to miss out on big talent
Earlier this summer, Forest are thought to have made a ÂŁ4 million offer to Villa for Bogarde.
Although he is only 20 and has yet to play a minute of Premier League football, he has already received high accolades from several in the game.
Joey Barton, a former player and manager, praised the midfielder after managing the Villa prospect at Bristol Rovers.
“When I observe Lamare, I see that he does a little bit of everything. “He’s another young player, but one with enormous potential,” Barton told the reporters last year.
Forest may have missed out on a promising young talent, but Marinakis will go on to the next one.
