Milan Lucic’s wife ‘files for separation’ five months after he was accused of choking her and puling her hair in a ‘drunken argument about her hiding his phone’.

Milan Lucic and his wife Brittany are divorcing after allegedly having a domestic violence dispute five months ago.

According to TMZ Sports, Brittany filed for divorce on Tuesday owing to ‘irreconcilable disagreements.’ According to the filings, she set their marriage date as July 19, 2012, and their separation date as November 17, 2023.

Milan was detained on November 18 after allegedly being violent with Brittany during a heated dispute. The exchange apparently began when the Bruins veteran suspected his wife of hiding his phone.

‘The victim indicated that she did not have his cell phone and didn’t know where it was,’ police noted after the incident. ‘She claimed that when she tried to walk away from her husband, the suspect grabbed her by the hair and yanked her backwards.

‘She added that while doing so, the suspect informed her that she was not going anywhere.’

The Bruins veteran was accused with assault and battery on a family member. However, the lawsuit was dismissed in February when Brittany refused to testify against him.

On November 21, Lucic pled not guilty and was released on personal recognizance bond before being dismissed.

Brittany requested custody and spousal support for their three children in her Monday filing. However, she also requested that Milan have supervised kid visitation.

Since his arrest, Milan has been on indefinite leave from the Bruins and has yet to return to the rink.

Lucic has played more than 1,300 NHL games for the Boston Bruins, Los Angeles Kings, Edmonton Oilers, and Calgary Flames.

He won the Stanley Cup with Boston in 2011 and is back with the team after signing a one-year free-agent contract worth $1 million last summer, with an additional $500,000 in incentives.
