Birmingham City loaned Cody Drameh from Leeds United last summer, but he is reportedly ready to move to Hull City on a permanent transfer.

Cody Drameh, a former Birmingham City loanee, is expected to make a permanent transfer to Championship club Hull City. Drameh, a right-back, was loaned to Blues from Leeds United last season and went on to make 30 appearances for the club, collecting four assists. However, he was phased out of the first-team picture following the arrival of Gary Rowett at the end of the season and made only one appearance after March.

Drameh, 22, was out of contract at Leeds this summer, but he has decided to turn down the opportunity to stay at Elland Road in order to secure regular first-team football elsewhere. Drameh made only 10 appearances for the Whites in total, and Hull will pay a nominal fee to sign him.

Drameh, who helped Luton Town achieve promotion to the Premier League the previous season and played 120 minutes in their play-off final victory over Coventry City at Wembley Stadium last year, was popular at Blues and played on both sides of the defence. Drameh set up Lukas Jutkiewicz in their FA Cup tie at the MKM Stadium in January, and he will now call the venue home.

Last season, the Blues had five loanees on their books, including Drameh, Oliver Burke, Emanuel Aiwu, Andre Dozzell, and Jay Stansfield, the latter of whom they hope to re-sign despite being relegated to League One. Blues have quickly moved on this summer, adding seven new players, including record-breaking pair Willum Willumsson and Christoph Klarer in recent days.

Hull, who have recruited Ryan Giles this summer, have money to spend after selling Jaden Philogene to Aston Villa and academy product Jacob Greaves to newly promoted Ipswich Town for a combined fee of almost £30 million.
