Fulham turned down a proposal from Birmingham for striker Jay Stansfield.
The 21-year-old scored thirteen goals on loan at St. Andrew’s last season and was named the club’s player of the season despite failing to keep the Blues out of League One.
Birmingham have offered Stansfield a structured deal worth up to £6 million, but Fulham have turned down the offer, as well as loan bids from other Championship clubs, since head coach Marco Silva sees the England under-21 international as a member of his first-team group.
