Taiwo Awoniyi, a Super Eagles striker, has rejoined his Nottingham Forest teammates during their pre-season training in Spain after a brief absence due to injury, according to Soccernet.ng.

However, Awoniyi seems to have regained full health over the summer, as he tweeted photos of himself performing training drills.

Surprisingly, he did not play in Nottingham Forest’s first preseason game against Chesterfield. Following the game, coach Nuno Espirito Santo said that Awoniyi did not play because of a minor injury.

There were also reports that the former Union Berlin player will not be attending Nottingham Forest’s preseason training in Spain.

However, in a new development, the Tricky Trees released a video of Awoniyi at the club’s camp in Spain.

However, they did not say whether he was returned to full fitness. If Awoniyi is fit, he will undoubtedly play in the club’s remaining pre-season matches against Millwall, Elche, Villarreal, and Olympiacos.

Nottingham Forest will kick off their Premier League season with a game against Bournemouth at City Ground.
