A Nebraska football commit has received a fourth recruiting star.
Shawn Hammerbeck is a 6-foot-6, 260-pound offensive lineman at Winner High School in Winner, South Dakota.
Hammerbeck received an extra star from the recruiting portal 247Sports. The remaining recruiting agencies give South Dakota’s top 2025 prospect three stars.
According to reports, the prospect might play offensive tackle for the Huskers, but he has also been touted as a defensive line candidate. Hammerbeck choose Nebraska over Kansas State, Minnesota, and Texas Tech.
Nebraska first offered the prospect in the spring and welcomed him on an official visit in April. He returned on an official visit in June before committing to the Cornhuskers on July 3.
