Town and Nottingham Forest are said to have joined Leicester City in expressing an interest in AC Milan’s Belgian international winger Alexis Saelemaekers.

The Foxes are thought to have submitted a bid close to the Rossoneri’s valuation for the 25-year-old, which was originally rumored to be €12-15 million (£10-£12.6 million).

However, according to Calciomercato.com, the Blues and Forest have also inquired about right-sided Saelemaekers, who is currently surplus to requirements at the San Siro. West Ham United was formerly associated.

Saelemaekers began his career at Anderlecht in his home country before transferring to Milan in 2020, initially on loan before obtaining a permanent contract.

The 12-times-capped Belgium international spent last season with Bologna, where he scored four goals in 30 Serie A games.

He has made 111 league appearances for Milan, where he is under contract for another two seasons, and has six goals.
