Before training camp begins, Kansas City’s superstar tight end will play golf at Lake Tahoe this week.
This Friday, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Kelce will be among the veterans reporting to the team’s training camp at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph.
But, speaking to NBC Sports at the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe, Nevada on Friday, he discussed the team’s chances of winning a third consecutive NFL championship.
“We have Xavier Worthy. We’ve got Marquise Brown. “We got some dogs,” Kelce exclaimed. “We’ve got some incredible players, some excellent coaches, and, of course, a front office that brings it all together. We have the entire arsenal over there in Kansas City.
“You have to restructure the team every year. You have to rebuild the team. Hopefully, out in St. Joe, we can get a head start on it. And then, as you saw last year, we may improve as the season progresses.
“So it’ll be a long trip if we get the chance. But I’m simply excited to get back into football. It’s been a crazy offseason for me, so I’m ready to return to work.”
