On July 3, Kansas City Chiefs sensation Travis Kelce and his older brother, former NFL player Jason Kelce, made an announcement to kick off their latest “New Heights” podcast episode.

“Thanks for tuning into this episode, it’s the end of season two — which I don’t even know what seasons mean, we just do this show,” said Jason Kelce. “All that means to us is that we had a great couple of months off from podcasting. Because I’m guessing Travis will be in the middle of training camp in three weeks, which isn’t enough time to produce a podcast – especially the best show in the world.

Jason Kelce went on to say that the brothers will take a break from recording the show until the end of training camp — or soon after — so Travis Kelce can focus on getting football ready for the 2024 season.

Rest assured; “New Heights” intends to return.

“I’m down to pick it back up once we’re done with training camp,” Travis Kelce said when his brother inquired about when the next episode would be.

Jason Kelce indicated that season three would begin at the “end of August,” or early September at the latest. Last year, the Kelce brothers took a similar recording hiatus while at camp.

Travis Kelce Reminds Chiefs & NFL Fans of His Dedication to Football

You may say whatever you want about Travis Kelce, but no one can deny the future Hall of Famer’s passion for football.

The brief “New Heights” pause is another example, but don’t forget about some of the outside noise last season. As talk show hosts and writers questioned whether Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift was a “distraction,” the Chiefs fought for another Super Bowl victory.

And it goes without saying that Kelce was an integral component of the playoff run.

During the 2023-24 postseason, the playmaking tight end had at least 70 receiving yards in all four Chiefs games. He also caught three touchdown passes from quarterback Patrick Mahomes II, totaling 86.5% of his targets.

Kelce consistently comes through for KC when it matters the most. You can guarantee he’s determined to win three consecutive championships in 2024.

Travis Kelce Declined Netflix’s ‘Receiver’ Docuseries

Kelce said during a June 24 appearance on the “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast that he was asked by Netflix to star in their “Receiver” docuseries last season, demonstrating his commitment to winning.

“After Pat [Mahomes] did it, I did get asked about it,” Kelce told the program. “I do not know. I would rather just play ball, man. “I’m already doing enough with the [“New Heights”] podcast and everything.”

Obviously, there is nothing wrong with accepting a Netflix invitation. Mahomes led a Super Bowl victory while starring in “Quarterback.”

Having said that, Kelce is “over the reality [expletive]” – according to his interview on “Bussin’ With the Boys.” Another evidence that he is more determined than ever as he begins his campaign at the age of 34.

“Receiver” premieres on Netflix on Wednesday, July 10. Instead of Kelce, it will include tight end George Kittle, as well as wide receivers Davante Adams, Deebo Samuel, Justin Jefferson, and Amon-Ra St. Brown.
