The Philadelphia Phillies’ radio commentators were caught on a hot mic Friday night insulting the Atlanta Braves after an in-game announcement.

Those viewing the Apple TV broadcast with the Phillies’ radio broadcast overlay could hear play-by-play announcer Scott Franzke and analyst Kevin Stocker ridicule the Braves’ in-stadium announcer for his postgame remarks. In the background, the Braves’ public address announcer could be heard attempting to energize the crowd following the game.

“It wasn’t the outcome we wanted, but we had a wonderful time, right? “Make some noise!” the announcer was heard urging.

Franzke and Stocker remained disappointed.

“Yeah, whatever,” Franzke responded.

“It’s so much fun to lose!” Yay!” Stock has been added.

This isn’t the best appearance for Franzke and Stocker, but it’s also relatively innocuous. On the other hand, the PA guy was only doing his job.

Given the length and nature of baseball games, commentators are prone to being caught on a hot mic. Usually, it’s more amusing than anything else, which is the case here.
