Arkansas football lost another big in-state target.

Carius Curne, from Marion, Arkansas, committed to LSU today during an official visit to Baton Rouge this weekend.

Curne had previously pledged to Arkansas but decommitted in March. According to 247 Sports, the 6-foot-4-inch offensive tackle is a.94-rated four-star prospect and Arkansas’ top prospect. He choose the Tigers over Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, and Missouri, among others.

This is yet another example of Arkansas’s failure to attract elite in-state players in recent seasons. In the 2024 cycle, the Razorbacks passed on three of Arkansas’ top five prospects, including Brian Huff, Walker White, and Courtney Crutchfield. All three of them had composite four-star ratings.

This season, the Hogs are on track to do the same. Marcus Wimberly, Arkansas’ No. 3 prospect, has already reversed his pledge to OU, joining Curne today. Omarion Robinson of Parkview has yet to decide, but if he chooses to leave the Natural State, Arkansas will have missed out on all three in-state four-star prospects.
