The Ohio State football program is still looking for an elite offensive line prospect.
They have a chance to steal one from a program that was once proud.
Since Justin Frye was hired as offensive line coach, the Ohio State football program has yet to sign a single five-star offensive lineman. His recruitment has only been one aspect of the problem. The Buckeyes’ offensive line was the poorest unit on the field last year.
All of this would be forgiven if the Buckeyes could sign a five-star offensive line prospect in the 2025 recruiting cycle. Ohio State is still competing for the second-best recruit in the country. That player is tackle David Sanders Jr.
Sanders Jr. is the top offensive line prospect in the country, and he might help the Buckeyes right now. He’s good enough to start straight away, regardless of where he goes. He is currently expected to go Clemson, a program Ohio State basically eliminated.
However, it appears that the Ohio State football program is a dark horse candidate to rush in and snag him. Take a look at the clip below from 247Sports.
"If I'm picking a school to upset (Clemson)… it's absolutely the Buckeyes."

As you can see, the Buckeyes are on the hunt for him. They will get his final visit, which is slated for the end of June in Columbus. The problem is that Sanders Jr. has five more visits scheduled, including that trip to Columbus.
It’s possible that the Buckeyes’ final visit may be beneficial. However, it is also possible that someone will be able to lock him up. Sanders Jr. is visiting five schools, including Clemson. There is danger that they will imprison him before the Buckeyes have an opportunity to bring him on campus.
If Ohio State is able to land him, Frye will have secured his job for at least the next few years. The Buckeyes would be in a fantastic position if they could acquire a commitment from him.
