ESPN provides a promising Anthony Richardson condition report
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson is reportedly progressing through injury rehab.
According to ESPN writer Jeremy Fowler, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson is a “full go”.
“This is going pretty well. I’m told Richardson is ready to go at this time. He has been throwing for a time now. He’s gradually gotten to the point where he can throw full-time with few constraints. The Colts could be purposeful. They could hold him out for OTAs, 11-man work, and minicamp, but it appears he wants to get started.”
Richardson’s rehab has gone quickly since hurting his throwing shoulder in Week 5 of 2023. In late October, the Colts’ quarterback underwent surgery to repair the AC joint in his right shoulder, thereby terminating his rookie season in the NFL.
“I didn’t want to get it at first,” Richardson said. “I wanted to play, but the doctors told me that I wasn’t going to be able to throw if I did go out there.”

The 2023 fourth-round draft pick played few minutes in his rookie season, but he showed flashes of potential throughout his brief time on the field. Richardson scored seven touchdowns in four starts, guiding the team to two victories and two losses.

Indy’s quarterback carousel continued last season, as the team missed the playoffs for the third year in a row. Gardner Misnhew, the Colts’ quarterback, guided the team to a 9-8 record but was unable to complete the job in a Week 18 divisional game against the Houston Texans.
Richardson will be striving for the Colts’ first AFC South division title in a decade. Indianapolis (+340) is now behind Houston (+110) and the Jacksonville Jaguars (+240) in DraftKings betting odds, but far ahead of the Tennessee Titans (+1000). The AFC South is one of football’s most promising divisions, with every team captained by a quarterback under the age of 25.
21-year-old Anthony Richardson had the opportunity to study from the sidelines last season, but is ready to make his return to the field come September.
