“Astonishing” creative addition as “wearying” midfielder is benched – Birmingham City’s predicted lineup v Cardiff
|Predicting Gary Rowett’s Birmingham City lineup vs Cardiff City in the Sky Bet Championship.
On Wednesday night, Birmingham City will make their way back to St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park to face Cardiff City in the Sky Bet Championship.
With another match that people are calling a “cup final,” Blues will be itching to win three points in order to stay out of the relegation zone. After a late 2-1 loss to Leicester City, Birmingham is currently down in 23rd place; however, with goal differential working in their favor, the gap to safety is only one point.
Even if they are a respectable team in 11th place, Cardiff has very little left in the campaign. The objective was to qualify for the playoffs, but with 12 points separating them from sixth-place Norwich City, that is now all but impossible. Although it would be advantageous to finish in the top half, the Bluebirds are not in the same precarious position as the Blues.
Since his comeback, Gary Rowett has performed admirably, bringing about two losses and a crucial 1-0 victory over Preston North End. Although Birmingham’s fate was sealed by goals in the dying minutes, the team is undoubtedly on the rise. The losses were heartbreaking. All that is left to do is convert that into further points.
GK: John Ruddy
For the duration of the current campaign, Ruddy will continue to be the Blues’ first choice goalie. If it weren’t for him and his experience, so many more ambitions would have been accepted.
RB: Ethan Laird
For the most part, Laird was outstanding against Leicester at both ends of the field. He’s solidified his position at right back.
CB: Emanuel Aiwu
Although the Austrian had difficulty early in the season, he has performed admirably in the most recent games. Due to Marc Roberts’ injury, the position is essentially locked down.
CB: Dion Sanderson
Despite the loss, the skipper barely made a mistake at the King Power. Rowett will demand ongoing similarity.
LB: Lee Buchanan
Both against Preston and Leicester, Buchanan, who is likely a candidate for Blues player of the season, showed promise.
CM: Krystian Bielik
Birmingham has benefited greatly from Bielik’s return since the Poland international is so good at disrupting play. He should simply try to avoid making reservations.
CM: Paik Seung-ho
The South Korean showed confidence in his performance the previous time out. He just needs to partner with Bielik every single week if he does that consistently.
CAM: Jordan James
James, who plays a variety of positions during games, will most likely start from scratch. Rowett is especially looking forward to seeing the Welshman perform.
RW: Koji Miyoshi
One of the team’s strongest creative energies, Miyoshi, is currently overflowing with confidence. Stansfield gets along well with the Japanese as well.
LW: Siriki Dembele
Although Dembele’s playing time has recently decreased, Rowett may need to make a small rotation, therefore Dembele may surprise everyone by starting this game. It looks like Juninho Bacuna will be taking a nap before Coventry.
ST: Jay Stansfield
The 21-year-old, who is a natural number 10, had goals in back-to-back games to show that he is one of the team’s top finishers.
