Former Alabama commit and four-star offensive lineman, has committed to Georgia
|Mason Short, a four-star offensive tackle, revealed his commitment to Georgia.
The 6-foot-5.5, 300-pound offensive tackle hails from Evans, Georgia.
He chose the Bulldogs over Kentucky, Clemson, and Ohio State. On January 16, following Nick Saban’s retirement, he decommitted from Alabama.
Short is ranked 224th overall and 13th among interior offensive linemen in the 2025 class. According to the On3 industry rankings, he is Georgia’s No. 5 interior offensive lineman and No. 30 player.
In 2022, he was voted Offensive Lineman of the Year after receiving second-team MaxPreps Sophomore All-American accolades. Short was also named a preseason MaxPreps Junior All-American this season.
Following Short’s pledge, Georgia’s 2025 recruiting class is ranked eighth nationally and third in the SEC.
