Georgia OT Injured During 40-Yard Sprint at NFL Combine
|Amarius Mims, a Georgia offensive tackle, was injured while running the 40-yard dash Sunday at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Mims is widely regarded as one of the finest offensive lineman prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft class, with an unusual combination of size and quickness. Teams, media, and fans were all excited to watch him compete in on-field drills Sunday, but Mims had to halt halfway through his second 40-yard dash run after appearing to pull up with a right hamstring strain.
Here’s hope Mims avoided any severe injuries that would have limited his availability for the Bulldogs’ pro day later in the process, and that he’ll be fully recovered in time for his first NFL training camp.
Georgia OT Amarius Mims just told me he’s dealing with a right hamstring injury. He doesn’t know how severe it is. He wants to continue testing and competing at the combine. But he’s got ice on the hamstring now.
