Colts GM Makes Informative Statement On Michael Pittman Jr.’s Future
|The Indianapolis Colts are coming off a season that was a touch better than expected, with the team finishing 9-8 and incredibly close to winning an AFC playoff position.
Even though the Colts lost promising rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson just a few games into the 2023 NFL season, the team was able to scrape by with veteran Gardner Minshew leading the way, earning a Pro Bowl selection.
With something to build on in Indianapolis and a possibly bright future, the Colts will have the opportunity to enhance their roster over the NFL offseason in the hopes of moving closer to a playoff berth.
One of the issues the team must make during the summer is what to do with standout wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr, who general manager Chris Ballard appears to believe is in the organization’s long-term plans.
Ballard was asked about Pittman’s future in Indianapolis and appears to be working on a contract with the 26-year-old wide receiver through the team’s Twitter account.
“We’ll work hard to get a deal done,” Ballard said.
