Following recent layoffs from the coaching staff, Michigan football has hired Sean Magee as its senior assistant athletic director.
According to Matt Zenitz of 247Sports, Michigan football has hired Sean Magee, Chief of Staff for the Chicago Bears, as their senior associate athletic director. Magee spent five seasons with the Wolverines before joining the Bears. He formerly worked as the associate athletic director under Jim Harbaugh, the program’s head coach.
Magee was an important role of turning around the Michigan football team, propelling them toward the National Title level. While the Wolverines have a long history, they struggled in the early years of the last decade to get past Ohio State and the Big Ten. Magee contributed to the development of Michigan football’s roster and staff, transforming the program into an unbeaten powerhouse by 2023. While he was not in Ann Arbor in 2023, he helped elevate the program’s standing.
