KIERAN EVALUATES THE JANUARY WINDOW
Manager Kieran McKenna is glad to have brought ‘new qualities to the group’ during the January transfer window.
The Blues signed four players during the window, with Kieffer Moore joining on loan from Bournemouth on deadline day, as well as Jeremy Sarmiento (Brighton, loan), Lewis Travis (Blackburn, loan), and Ali Al-Hamadi (Wimbledon, unknown).
Discussing the new recruits, Kieran said: “We’re pleased, of course, because Kieffer is an experienced and high-quality striker who we believe will help us in the second half of the season, so we’re very happy with that one.”
“During the window, we did some really outstanding job in a difficult market, bringing four players with varied strengths to the club.
“We want to be versatile in how we play, particularly in how we attack, with multiple methods to attack and score goals. We’ve added Jeremy and Kieffer, who bring new characteristics to the group, as well as Ali and Lewis, who contribute distinct traits, making us a more difficult team to prepare for.
“It’s also about adding people who will contribute to the group and culture we’ve established here, and we believe we’ve found four players who will do so.
“We’re looking forward to pushing on in the last 18 league games.”
