According to sources, Inter Milan FC is thinking about making a move for Kelechi Iheanacho in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Nigerian international player’s contract expires this season, and if no new deals are made, he will become free.

Nerazzurri has been informed about the potential to negotiate a new deal with Iheanacho on a free transfer, and FC Inter News claims that the Italian powerhouses have expressed interest.

According to the source, the club intends to pursue several free agents in the upcoming season, therefore they will assess the player multiple times before making a final decision.

Iheanacho continued to play for Leicester past the summer despite his contract issue. This season, he has operated as a lone striker alongside Jamie Vardy. He has scored four goals in the Championship match thus far, three of which came from the last three goals scored.

Iheanacho joined the Foxes from Man City in the summer of 2017 for a reported fee of £25 million. During the summer of the previous year, he acknowledged rumors that he might leave the team.

He declared, “I know the reports, the rumors, the ‘you want to stay’, I know that I’m here, and I’m concentrating on my football.” “Since I’ve been at Leicester FC for a few years, we’ve really fallen a little, but we’re working hard to climb back up. Let’s concentrate on the fact that I didn’t get to move and am now here, playing for Leicester City.

In last Friday’s 2-2 tie with Saudi Arabia, Iheanacho scored the Super Eagles’ first goal. Iheanacho reportedly had personal obligations on Monday, therefore he was not included in the Eagles’ second friendly against Mozambique.
