Keshi Anderson sustained an injury in Tuesday’s 2-0 Carabao Cup defeat to Fulham. He was holding back following a collision and was replaced by Tyler Roberts around the hour mark.
“I haven’t heard from the physio, but he came up with something just as he was about to come off,” remarked manager Chris Davies in a post-match press conference.
Birmingham will be able to rely on Wales under-21 Luke Harris again. He was unavailable on Tuesday because Fulham is his parent club.
Dion Sanderson, a former club captain, missed last weekend’s triumph over Leyton Orient and will be out for the next few weeks. The specifics of his injuries have not been divulged, but Davies expects it to be a ‘few weeks’.
Lee Buchanan is still sidelined after suffering a calf injury near the conclusion of the preseason. He is anticipated to return to training by mid-September.
Alfie Chang is a long-term absentee who is still working to return. He injured his knee last August.

Dale Taylor, a striker from Newcastle United, has joined the club on loan for the season. He scored five goals in 42 League One games for Burton Albion last season and now joins Wigan Athletic’s front line.
Matt Smith and Joe Hugill were sidelined with cramps last week, but they are expected to be available this weekend. Smith was replaced by Kai Payne in the 58th minute, and Hugill by Chris Sze in the 77th.
Calvin Ramsay and Josh Stones were absent against Crawley. Ramsey, who is on loan from Liverpool, has a tight adductor, but manager Shaun Maloney claimed last week that he should be back by the middle of this week.
