4 Ravens players are doubtful against the Browns, including CB Marlon Humphrey

Marlon Humphrey, a cornerback with the Ravens, is doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns due to his limited practice time on Friday, his second day of absence.

The most gifted cornerback on the squad, Humphrey, was listed as having a hamstring injury on Thursday’s injury report. During Friday’s walk-through practice, he was the only player on the 53-man active roster of the Ravens who did not participate fully.

Humphrey’s availability may depend on how quickly the Ravens turn things around the next week in addition to his own recuperation. The Ravens host the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night in Baltimore following their game on Sunday.

In Week 4, the Ravens’ pass defense performed admirably against Cleveland in the absence of Humphrey, who was still recuperating from superficial foot surgery. The team limited Browns rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson to 121 yards passing and forced three interceptions while being mostly manned by cornerbacks Ronald Darby, Rock Ya-Sin, and Brandon Stephens. Deshaun Watson, the starting quarterback, is anticipated to get the ball in Baltimore on Sunday.

Running back Keaton Mitchell (hamstring), right tackle Morgan Moses (shoulder), and cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis (illness) were the other three Ravens who were listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game.

Michael Pierce, a defensive tackle, is likely to play on Sunday despite missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday due to sickness. Security Marcus Williams (hamstring), who hasn’t been able to play since mid-October due to a hamstring ailment, also doesn’t have an injury classification.

The Browns will be missing their top three offensive tackles as a result of the decision to rule out offensive tackle Dawand Jones (knee/shoulder). Both right tackle Jack Conklin and left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. are on injured reserve. Geron Christian, who joined Cleveland’s practice squad on Halloween, and James Hudson III, who has started seven games in more than two NFL seasons, might see a lot of action up front against the Ravens.

Reserve wide receivers David Bell and Marquise Goodwin were also ruled out by the Browns. Both reserve running back Pierre Strong and starting cornerback Greg Newsome are dubious.
