3 stars who may possibly find their way out of Birmingham City if they are relegated

Birmingham City has only eight games left to confirm their safety, as they are currently level on points with the relegation zone as the season comes to a close.

Birmingham City is in a hazardous position in the relegation race, with only goal difference keeping them out of the bottom three with eight games left.

Birmingham City currently sit 21st in the table after another disappointing Championship season, and an improvement in form is critical if they are to avoid ending in the bottom three.

The Blues have a number of squad members who might be sold if they are relegated, with some more likely than others to leave this summer if the club ends up in League One.

Here’s a look at three players who could leave Birmingham City if they are demoted this season…

Juninho Bacuna

Bacuna, a Curacao international, has been a star performance for Birmingham City this season, with eight goals and six assists in 41 matches, making him St. Andrew’s leading goal provider across all competitions.

The 26-year-old midfielder’s contract expires next summer, so if the Blues drop to League One, there will undoubtedly be plenty of suitors looking for a bargain.

Krystian Bielik

Bielik has established himself as a top-tier holding midfielder in the Championship after joining the Blues permanently in the summer after a successful loan spell from Derby County the previous season.

The 26-year-old departed the Rams after they were relegated to the third division because he didn’t want to play at a lesser level and risk missing out on an international call-up. A similar situation may easily occur for the Polish star.

Jordan James

Highly rated youngster James has already attracted a lot of interest from Premier League and Serie A clubs, which will most certainly continue regardless of which tier Birmingham City end up in.

The 19-year-old midfielder, who has nine caps for Wales, has made 41 appearances in all competitions this season and scored eight goals. He is meant to play at a higher level, and that transition may occur sooner rather than later.
