ARS VS IPS: Arsenal’s Strongest Possible Lineup To Face Ipswich Town In Their Next EPL Match.

Arsenal is set to host Ipswich Town at the Emirates Stadium on Friday, December 27, 2024, in a Premier League encounter.

The Gunners aim to build on their recent 5-1 victory over Crystal Palace.

However, they face significant injury challenges, notably the absence of Bukayo Saka due to a hamstring injury expected to sideline him until February.

Raheem Sterling, Ben White, and Takehiro Tomiyasu are also unavailable due to knee injuries.

In light of these injuries, manager Mikel Arteta is expected to field the following lineup:

Goalkeeper: David Raya

Defenders: Jurrien Timber (right-back), William Saliba (center-back), Gabriel Magalhães (center-back), Riccardo Calafiori (left-back)

Midfielders: Martin Ødegaard (captain), Declan Rice, Kai Havertz

Forwards: Gabriel Martinelli (right wing), Gabriel Jesus (center forward), Leandro Trossard (left wing)

This 4-3-3 formation reflects Arteta’s tactical adjustments to compensate for the injured players.

Gabriel Jesus is anticipated to shift to the right wing, filling the void left by Saka, while Leandro Trossard is expected to occupy the left wing position.

In defense, Riccardo Calafiori is likely to replace the injured Myles Lewis-Skelly at left-back, having recently returned to fitness.

The midfield trio of Ødegaard, Rice, and Havertz combines creativity, defensive solidity, and physical presence, aiming to control the game’s tempo and provide support to both defense and attack.

Arsenal’s bench is expected to feature players like Thomas Partey, Ethan Nwaneri, and Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is returning from a muscle injury and may be eased back into action.

Facing an Ipswich Town side struggling in the league, Arsenal will look to capitalize on their home advantage and secure a vital three points to maintain momentum in the Premier League title race.

The match kicks off at 8:15 PM GMT and will be broadcast live on Amazon Prime Video.

Given the congested fixture schedule, squad rotation and player management will be crucial for Arteta to navigate the upcoming matches successfully.

The Gunners will aim to continue their winning streak and apply pressure on league leaders Liverpool, who currently hold a six-point advantage.
