Manchester United will be without four senior players when they go to Ipswich Town.
We are currently in the midst of another international break and when Manchester United return to Premier League play, they will travel to Portman Road to take on Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich Town.
It will be Ruben Amorim’s first game in command of the Red Devils since Erik ten Hag was fired last month. United have struggled this season, now sitting 13th in the Premier League table with 15 points; might the Portuguese be the guy to turn things around?
Upon Amorim’s arrival at United, the club stated on their official website: “Manchester United is delighted to announce the appointment of Ruben Amorim as Head Coach of the Men’s First Team, subject to work visa requirements.”
“He will join until June 2027, with a club option for an extra year after fulfilling his responsibilities with his present club. He will join Manchester United on Monday, November 11.
“Ruben is one of the most dynamic and well-regarded young coaches in European sport. He is a highly renowned player and coach, having won the Primeira Liga twice with Sporting CP, the first of which was the club’s first trophy in 19 years.
