This Bruins forward is starting to show signs of having a breakout year.
Justin Brazeau, like many of the Boston Bruins’ players, got off to a bad start this season. In his first five games, the 6-foot-5 forward recorded one assist and a minus-3 rating. Despite a poor start, Brazeau is beginning to feel it.
Brazeau has three goals in five games and has been given chances at the right wing position on the second line. Overall, he is demonstrating that he could be a good fit for the position.
With Brazeau starting to play well and now playing a significant part for the Bruins, the possibility of him having a breakout season is real. After making his NHL debut with Boston last season, he showed great promise, scoring five goals, seven points, and earning a plus-4 rating in his first 19 games. Now, he hopes to take another significant stride forward in his progress.
If Brazeau continues to score at his current rate, the Bruins will benefit greatly. There’s no doubt that they need more offense right now.
It’ll be intriguing to see how Brazeau improves on his current hot streak. If he continues to perform well in a top-six role for Boston, he has the potential to establish himself as a vital forward on the team.
